Low-level dungeoning – not so painful akshully
Although I didn’t have much time for her lately, Khrista is settling in well on her new realm.
First off, I made a bank alt and pimped her up. I don’t care about RP, even though I’m on a RP realm now, but I like WoW fashion so I’ve got a couple of outfits for my level 1 night elf. Right now she’s doing the pirate thing and showing off her boobs in Darnassus, but I’ve also got a Lovely Red Dress for her (turns out they became un-soulbound in some patch…).

On the leveling side, it’s going well. After a few boosts and motorcycle rides around SW to turn in quests (yay for friends!), I headed off on my own and ran some Stocks and Gnomeregan. On my home server, Gnomeregan is among the few places no one will boost. Really, 20g is not near enough for the horror that is Gnomeregan.
(Gno-me-re-gan, OK? If you can’t spell it, just look at the screen, it’s not hard. Anyway…)

Surprinsingly, all the runs went fine. Things seem to have changed since I leveled my druid in low-level dungeons. Right now at least 2 players out of 5 have BoA, most of the rest can at least do their role honorably, some of them are even friendly and I haven’t seen anyone bitch all day. I am thouroughly impressed and I hope the trend will continue into the higher dungeons.

To make it even better, on the last run I got the antenna helm and the Satchel of Helpful Goods decided to actually be helpful and gave me a healing neck.

I’m considering doing a bit of Holy questing… but it looks painfully slow, so I’ll probably stick to my initial plan of only doing dungeons until 80 and dual spec. Oh, and selling low-level cloth is amazingly profitable – a couple of hours of instances gave me enough cloth to make 150+g.
This has been so fun I’m not even sad I missed our ICC alt run!

You can learn dual spec at level 40.
And tbh I don’t care much about the end level content because everything there is a bit overdone and also overrated. The low level content, including level 60 is the best that WoW has to offer lorewise, funwise not to mention dungeon and class mechanics (try doing any level 50-60 instance with no supporting chars with a party of your level).
One of the best experiences for me was Dire Maul (all sides are fine, maybe the one with ogres is a bit more monotonous) where you can find amazing story and diversity in one place. Each mob has lots of abilities, and you have to do certain stuff, you can’t just skip to the last boss like in other newer instances.

Of course, as soon as I hit 40 I’m dual speccing to shadow for a bit of questing… but just a bit. I’ve ran out of new zones and the thought of doing Dragonblight again… well, doesn’t make me happy.
I never liked and never will like the maze instances. Maraudon and Blackrock mountain and their friends can go die in a big fire. I could never find my way through Stratholme to save my life, despite getting boosted/boosting people there for a long while. Give me SM over and over again and I’ll be happy… I’d like to do full runs, but it simply isn’t worth the pain. I love the way WC looks, but I still have nightmares from when it took 3!! hours to do half of it on my horde pally. I can’t wait til Northrend or at least Outland.

Dire Maul isn’t really a maze like BRD or Maraudon (where even I get lost). That’s why I mentioned it. It’s really great and sometimes I miss it. I can’t seem to get enough motivation to come back and play WoW like in the past tbh. :)
To me those instances are better, because they are the way instances should be, a place to experience with your friends, not a just means to an end – gear up.
To me raiding end game stuff is much more pain than doing low level stuff for leveling up, because you have to invest so much time and resources in a constant routine which in the end burns you out, like in my case.
