We just received an application on our guild site. It turned up to be brilliant and the guy was accepted immediatly. Since I am still giggling when I think of it, here’s an excerpt:
I’ve been playing WoW for approx 3-4 yrs, playing various classes as mains and alts, unfortunatly i lost access to that account, it was in my Ex’s name, when we split up she wouldnt give me access to the account and changed the password and deleted my characters.(loosing the account gutted me more than loosing the girl), so ive had to restart from scratch.
I couldn’t stopped laughing while reading this! Modern breakups are not about sharing things anymore, right? Who cares who takes the refrigerator and who takes the TV set, it’s all about who’s having the warlock and who gets the hunter!!
After reading the post by Jen I realized a similar discuttion happened in my guild. So one night I was playing happily and 2 friends (husband and wife) logged into WoW. All of us were “Hi”, “How are you”, the usual conversation.
But no, the first thing he said was: “She dragged me out of a party to help her with a quest”.
All of us were “lol” and such… then we learned that she was the one that got him involved in WoW because she needed help with quests, so he created an account just for this. But as time passed his character advanced faster than hers and now they are in a small competition: who gets first to level 70. We will just have to wait and see.
Sunday morning. I’m happily doing SSO dailies. Boyfriend wakes up and logs in. “Good morning dear, how are you?” would be a normal thing to hear in this situation, right?
Wrong. What I get is a bit different: “You are in tonight’s raid, you MUST read about Rage Winterchill and Anetheron!”. Er, hi honey, ok.
(We did down him that night.)
A few days later, he’s coming over and his life won’t be complete if he doesn’t get cheese. I am less than excited to go out in the scary world, so I get an explanation of the way I should handle the situation:
“Go hunt for the cheese. Yes, outside. Your group goes to position ‘Market’ where it has to do a body pull on the mob ‘Feta’, then loot it, then bring it home.”
It worked, so I successfully looted it and it turned out to be very tasty.
