Hey and thanks for reading :) We did this strategy at Marrowgar at our first attempts, but I thought they fixed it and fires spawn under him too? I never had this problem as my druid always bounces around anyway. If and when I get the guts to try ICC again I’ll stand under his ass and hope, it would be so so much easier.

This comment is a bit late but I’ve just read your post (enjoying your blog, btw, just found it on Blog Azeroth) and you probably know this by now, but:

A great way to not have any fires on you at all at Marrowgar is to stand inside his hitbox (toward the butt end so that you don’t get hit by his cleave). No fires spawn under him, so you’re safe there and can heal to your heart’s content. Then you only have to worry about fire when he’s whirlwinding. :)

No, Grid’s the only one I tried, and it’s scarred me for life :D I love what it does, but I wouldn’t want to set it up again… that’s why I’m not keen on trying others.

Since you’re using VuhDo, maybe you can answer a couple of specific questions: how good is it with HoTs? (though I know pallies and shammies aren’t exactly famous for HoTing)
Can it show who has the Beacon?
Incoming heals?
Other debuffs (i.e. Weakened Soul)
Raid marks?

I want a lot, yeah :D

As an aside, I think I figured out how to make Grid show what I wanted, but I’m not 100% against any addon. Just lazy :D

Regarding “I’ll look for some Grid addons that display what I want to see”, have you ever tried Vuhdo? I use it on my shaman and paladin for healing and there’s no need to install additional addons just t obe able to see who’s standing in the fire etc.
